The Green Ribbon
THEME
It is a story about love beyond boundaries, it gives the idea that love conquers everything. This can be seen when they got married and decide to live together although the girl is “special”
PLOT
The plot is forward, it starts when they are still at school, and it goes on until they have grown up and get married (they grow old together)
CHARACTERIZATION
1. Jenny
She is the girl in this story, she is not different from the other girl, but she wears a green ribbon around her neck. She is loving and a lovable person, but on the other side, she is selfish for not letting her husband know about the green ribbon from the first time.
2. Alfred
He is Jenny’s husband. He is a caring person, but a curious one too. He always asked Jenny about her green ribbon, and at the very end, he got what he wanted.
SETTING
1. School, this is where those two person meet, and fell in love with each other.
2. Alfred and Jenny’s house, this is where they grow old together.
3. Hospital, here is where Jenny is dying and willing to reveal her secret.
POINT OF VIEW
This story used the third-person view, he tells the story from the readers side, not from anybody in the story.
